1 lemon
1 lb apples (2 to 3 apples) (or other fruit)
1 tbsp of flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp grated sharp cheddar cheese (optional)
1 pie crust

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º. Grate 1 tsp lemon zest and 2 tsp lemon juice. Peel, core and thinly slice apples and toss with lemon zest and juice, flour, and cinnamon. Dust flour on baking sheet and roll crust to a 13 inch circle. Put apples on crust leaving 2 inch border. Put butter on apples. Fold border over apples make an edge. Bake at 450 º for 12 minutes and then reduce heat to 425º add cheddar cheese and bake for 12 - 15 minutes or until apples are soft.

You can prepare apples the night before and store in the refrigerator. Lemon juice will keep them from turning brown.
