8 frozen pierogis (our family likes 3 cheese)
2 3/4" thick bone in pork chops
1/2 t. salt, divided
1/2 t. pepper, divided
4 T. butter, divided
1 med. sweet onion, sliced and separated into rings
2 golden delicious apples sliced into 1/4" slices
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/8 c. apple cider vinegar

Cook pierogis according to directions on box.

In medium skillet melt 2 T. of butter. Sprinkle chops with 1/4" t. of salt and pepper and cook chops in skillet until juices run clear. Remove chops from skillet. Add 2 T. of butter and add onions, salt them. Add apples and saute until tender. Stir in sugar, vinegar and remaining salt and pepper. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 5 mins. Add pork chops and pierogis to skillet, stir to coat.
