4 large Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes(1 per person), cut into 1-2 inch pieces
salt
1/4 cup butter(1/2 stick)
milk

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cover potatoes with cold water add 1 tablespoon salt. Bring to boil and simmer for about 20 minutes until easily pierced with fork.

2. Drain and return to pan. Add butter and mash until butter is well incorporated. Add milk slowly and continue to mash until desired consistency has been reached and there are no lumps. Do not over mash or they will get sticky.
