3/4 cup ( 1 1/2 sticks ) butter. softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 cup flour
3 eggs
2 cups coarsely chopped pecans
1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
2 TBSP melted butter
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 º.
For crust; beat butter in a large bowl until smooth. Add powdered sugar, beat until well blended, Add flour gradually, beating at low speed.
Press the dough evenly into an ungreased 13 x9 inch pan. Press mixture slightly up the sides to form a rim. Bake 20 minutes or until starting to brown.
Meanwhile for filling beat eggs lightly with a fork. Add pecans, sugar, corn syrup, melted butter and vanilla. Mix well. Pour over the partially baked crust and return to oven, bake 35 to 40 minutes or until filling is set.
Loosen edges with a knife and let cool on a rack before cutting into bars.
