1c yellow corn meal
1c flour
1/4c sugar
1/2t salt
4t baking powder
1 egg
1c milk
1/4c shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients into bowl, add egg milk and shortening. Beat until smooth about 1 minute, do not over beat. Bake in greased 8 inch square pan. Bake in preheated oven at 425 ºF for 20 to 25 minutes.
