1/2 C. Butter or Margarine- softened
1/2 C. Light Brown Sugar- firmly packed
2 Eggs- beaten
1/4 C. Buttermilk
1½ C. Self-rising Flour
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 tsp. Allspice- ground
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon- ground
1 C. Candied Cherries
1 C. Candied Pineapple
1 C. Dates- chopped
8.82 oz. pkg. Raisins (optional)
3 C. Pecans- chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the butter and light brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, buttermilk, flour, baking soda, and spices; mix well. Stir in remaining ingredients and blend thoroughly.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 300° for 25 minutes. Yields 7 dozen.
