Apples to fill pie plate
One crust pie dough
butter cut in pieces
Brown sugar to taste
Cinnamon to taste

Directions:

Peel, core and slice apples and place in lightly buttered pie plate, heaping up a little. Place pie crust over apples and cut edge around pie plate, but do not flute. Cut steam slits. Bake at 425º F. for 20 - 30 minutes or until crust is brown and apples are tender.

Remove from oven, place plate upside down on top of pie and flip the two so the the pie is on the plate, crust on bottom, apples on top. Sprinkle with pieces of butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon to taste. Serve immediately piping hot. (Also good cooled.)
