4 qts. cucumbers, sliced thin
8 large white onions, sliced
1/2 cup salt
2 qts. cracked ice
5 cups sugar
1 Tsp. celery seed
5 cups cider vinegar
2 Tbsp. mustard seed
1 1/2 Tsp. Tumeric

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cucumbers with onions, sprinkle with salt and ice. Cover with weighted lid for about 3 hours. Drain thoroughly and rinse well with cold water. Place in large kettle. Add remaining ingredients to the cucumbers and onions. Bring almost to a boil stirring often, but do not allow to boil. Pack the pickles in hot jars and seal.
