2 onions sliced
2 cloves garlic minced
2-4 bottom round steaks
2 T vegetable oil
1 t salt
1 t black pepper
1 t onion powder
1 t garlic powder
1 T all purpose flour
1/2 cup wine
3 cups water

Directions:
Directions:
slice steaks into 1/2" wide strips and put in mixing bowl
add salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder with 1 T oil. Mix to coat well
add steak to hot cast iron or other NON non-stick pan.. You want bits to stick to the pan.
Brown steak over high heat until fully browned. You don't want to fully cook the steak, just give it a nice brown sear.
add onions and saute until soft.
add flour and stir to coat everything well. It should be dry and clumpy.
De-glaze the pan with red wine. All the bits should come up nicely.
Add water and turn heat to low. Simmer for at LEAST 2 hours on low or until the steak is very fork-tender, and the gravy is as thick as you like it.
Serve with rice, over pasta, or with potatoes.
