1 c + 2 tbsp sifted flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ c softened butter
6 tbsp sugar
6 tbsp firmly packed brown sugar
½ tsp vanilla
¼ tsp water
1 egg
1 c coarsely chopped nuts
6 oz pkg (1c) semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

* Preheat oven to 350º
* Sift flour, baking soda, and salt - set aside
* Blend butter, sugars, vanilla and water. Beat in egg, add flour mixture and mix well. Stir in nuts
* Spread into greased 13x9 pan. Sprinkle chocolate pieces over top of batter
* Bake one minute to melt chocolate. Remove from oven and run knife through batter to marbleize.
* Return to oven and continue baking for 12-14 minutes
* Cool and cut into 2" squares
