4 lbs. small green tomatoes
1 cup white vinegar
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 qt. white vinegar
2 sticks of cinnamon
1/2 qt. water
10 cloves
2 lbs. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Prick tomatoes with fork, then soak for 25 hours in 1 cup white vinegar and 1 1/2 cups water. Drain off water. Make a syrup of remaining ingredients. Tie spices loosely in cheesecloth, boil syrup for 15 minutes. Put tomatoes in and soak for 3 days in large, covered kettle. After the 3 days are over, heat tomatoes and put in hot jars and seal.
