1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
1 cup cooking oil
2 eggs
Dash of salt
2 tsp vanilla
5 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter and sugar. Add oil, eggs, salt and vanilla, mixing well. Combine flour, soda and cream of tartar; add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Refrigerate dough for 1 hour. Shape dough into 1- inch balls and place on a cookie sheet. Flatten cookies using a sugar-coated glass bottom. Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes (until very pale gold).
