Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Crust:
1 1/4 cups of flour
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease and flour a 9x9 pan.
Combine ingredients for crust, beat at low speed until crumbly. Press crust into the pan. Bake 15-20 minutes until edges are browned.

Filling:
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
3/4 cup strawberry or raspberry preserves

Combine ingredients except preserves and mix until crumbly. Spread preserves over cooked crust, not all the way to edges though. Then put the filling mixture over the preserves. Bake 20-22 minutes.

Glaze (optional, I don't usually do)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1-2 teaspoons milk

Cool bars completely. Then mix glaze and drizzle over top.

Personal Notes:
I usually don't do the glaze ... the fruit bars are sweet enough without it and the glaze isn't really necessary.
