1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
4 eggs separated at room temperature

1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 10-oz. jar jelly
confectioners sugar

Grease 12 1/2 in. x 10 1/2 in. cookie sheet, line with waxed paper.
Preheat oven to 375º F.

In small bowl with fork, stir flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. In another bowl with mixer at high speed, beat egg whites until peaks form. Sprinkle in 1/3 cup sugar beating until dissolved (stiff, glossy peaks). In large bowl with mixer at high speed, beat yolks until thick and lemon-colored, sprinkle in 1/2 cup sugar. Beat in vanilla. With rubber spatula, gently fold flour and whites into yolks until all blended. Spread evenly in pan. Bake 15 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched.

Generously sprinkle clean cloth towel with 1/3 cup confectioners sugar. Carefully peel paper from cake. Roll cake with towel. Cool completely on rack. When cake is cool, unroll cake, spread with jelly. Roll cake without towel. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
