3/4 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. minced green pepper
2 tbsp. minced onion
1/2 cup dried bread crumbs
1/4 cup bottled barbecue sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 eight oz. pkg. refrigerated crescent rolls
4 oz. mozzarella cheese, diced or shredded
1 egg yolk

In 10 inch skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, green pepper and onion until meat is browned, about 7 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in bread crumbs, barbecue sauce and salt; set aside. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Separate crescent roll dough into 4 rectangles. On lightly floured surface, place 1 dough rectangle; press diagonal perforations to seal. With lightly floured rolling pin roll dough into 8 in. x 4 in. rectangle; cut crosswise in half. Place 2 heaping tbsp. of meat mixture on each half; top with some mozzarella cheese. Pull corners of dough toward center; twist together and pinch to seal; place buns on greased cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining 3 dough rectangles; making 8 buns in all. In small cup, with fork, beat egg yolk and 1 tsp. water until blendced; use to brush tops of buns.
Bake in 375 degree F. oven 10-15 minutes until golden.
