5 1/2 c pastry flour
3 tbsp. brown sugar (rolled)
1 tsp baking powder
Mix well. Cut in 1 lb of lard until the lard is the size of a pea. the flour changed from white to a creamy colour.

In measuring cup mix:
1 egg well beaten
3 tbsp. white vinegar
Add water to scant 1 c level. Mix well. make hollow in dry ingredients. Add liquid to above until it forms into soft ball. Roll. Makes seven pies of your own choice.
