1 clam shell package spring lettuce mix
3 pears, peeled, sliced, and cored
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
1/8 cup sugar
1/2 cup pecans
1/3 cup olive oil
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 + 1/2 teaspoon sugar.
1 + 1/2 teaspoon dijon mustard
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

In a small pan add sugar and pecans and let sit over med low heat, stiring occasionally, till sugar starts to melt. Stir pecans until coated with the melted sugar. pour on parchment paper and lt cool. When cool chop pecans coarsely. Mix oil, vinegar, sugar, mustard, and garlic powder. Add salt and pepper to taste. Chill.To assemble put lettuce mix on individual serving plates, top with pears, cheese, and pecans, Top with chilled dressing.
