2 c whole wheat flour
2 c white flour
1 pkg dry yeast
1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 c milk
1/4 c butter or margarine
1/4 c honey
1/4 c water
1 large egg at room temperture

Directions:
Directions:
In electric mixer bowl, combine 1 1/2 cup each of whole wheat and white flour, yeast, sugar, baking soda and salt; mix well. In small saucepan, heat milk, butter, honey and 1/4 cup water until butter melts and mixture is 120º to130º.
With mixer at low speed, pour milk mixture and egg into flour. Beat at medium speed for 3 minutes.
Gradually, add enough of remaining flours until dough leaves sides of bowl. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Place in lightly greased bowl, turning over to grease top. Cover and let rise until doubled about 45 minutes. Punch dough down. Shape into rolls and place in greased pan. Bake at 350º for 30-40 minutes.
