1 (14oz) bag of caramels
5oz. can of evaporated milk
1 german chocolate cake mix
1/2c. melted butter
1 (6oz) bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Unwrap and melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk over low heat. Stir until smooth. Combine remaining evaporated milk with melted butter and cake mix until smooth. Press half of the cake mix into the bottom of a greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350º for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Slowly pour caramel evenly over the top, spreading to the edges of the pan. take pieces of the remaining cake mixture and flatten. Place pieces on top of the caramel until covered like patch work. Bake at 350º for 18 minutes. Loosen sides, then allow to cool completely before cutting.
