1/2 c. butter
4 T. baking cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. oil
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs

Fudge Frosting:

2 c. sugar
3/4 c. cream
2 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate
2 T. light corn syrup
1/8 tsp. salt
2 T. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Grease and lightly flour 13x9 cake pan. Cook butter, cocoa, water, and oil 1 minute. Add flour and sugar. Add buttermilk, baking soda and eggs. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes.

For frosting:
In heavy saucepan, combine first five ingredients. Heat slowly, stirring just until dissolved. Cook covered over medium heat for 2 minutes. Uncover and cook to soft ball stage (234 degrees). Do not stir while cooking. Remove from heat. Add butter. Cook to lukewarm (110 degrees). Additional cooking may cause frosting to harden too soon. Add vanilla. Beat until frosting begins to thicken and loses its gloss. If necessary, thin with a few drops of cream.
