4 to 6 chicken breast or (I use whole chicken)
small onion
salt and pepper
3 c. water

2 sticks butter
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. milk

1 pie crust or Frozen Pepperidge Farm Flakey Pie Sheet.

preheat oven 400º

Cook chicken,onion, salt and pepper in water until done. When cool remove bones and break into pieces.

In Saucepan melt butter and flour cook flour mixture stirring for about 10 minutes. Then add the chicken stock (made from the boiling the chicken a little at a time stirring so that it doesn't lump up, about 1.5 c. of stock also add 2 tbsp. of chicken base (bought in the soup section of the grocery store). Cook until very thick add milk stirring until blended, Taste and at this time add more salt and pepper if needed.

Put chicken in a casserole dish and pour gravy over it and let cool.

Add pie crust (my recipe is in desserts) to top make vent holes and crimp around edge. Or use Flaky pie crust found in your freezer section of the food store.

Cook for about 40 minutes or until crust is done,
