Ingredients:
Ingredients:
A Roast such as round, rump etc approximately 8x4x3 or similar size
(OR: meatloaf raw, made from about 1-1/2 lbs ground beef)
1 pkg onion soup mix-I use about 2 tbsp. beef bouillon powder and about 1 onion sliced
1 can mushroom soup (I like to make my own sauce, if time permits)
1 can mushrooms bits and pieces (optional)
Potatos cut up and Carrots cut up; or Beets or Parsnips
optional but very very good: bacon

Directions:
Directions:
Place roast in greased roaster. Around it put cut up potatos and carrots or other vegetables as you wish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. On top of roast, put beef bouillon powder and onion. Put the soup and pieces on the vegetables around the roast. If you are using, put the bacon on top of the roast and even on the vegetables. Cover, bake about 1-1/2 hours to 2 hours at 325Fº. Very tasty also is to use meatloaf in place of the roast. Then you must use the bacon on top.

Personal Notes:
This originates from Camp Sagitawa recipes, called Boe's Roast but it has been adapted many times by myself.
