1 c. graham cracker crumbs
1/4 c. melted margarine
2 c. cranberries
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. orange marmalade
1/4 c. chopped nuts
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1/3 c. conf. sugar
1 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. heavy cream, whipped

Directions:

Combine graham cracker crumbs with 1/4 c. melted margarine, press into 8X8" pan.
In saucepan, stir together the cranberries, sugar and water, bring to boil and simmer 20 minutes. Then add the marmalade and nuts, and chill.
Combine the cream cheese, conf. sugar, milk, vanilla and whipped cream, beat until smooth, then spread mixture on graham cracker crust. Top with chilled cranberry mixture. Cover and chill until ready to serve.

Our mother made this dish for every Christmas Eve get-together. I remember her saying those last few years, that she made it in stages, maybe one step each day, as it became harder for her to stand for too long a time.
