2 1/2 C chicken broth or stock (2 cans)
1 1/2 C milk
3/4 C flour
1 T seasoning mix (or on your own)
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp parsley, etc

Directions:

1.) Combine the chicken broth and 1/2 C of milk in a large sauce pan.. Bring to a low boil.
2.) Meanwhile in a small bowl, whisk the flour and seasonings into remaining 1 C milk until smooth, thick mixture forms.
3.) Pour the flour and milk mixture into the sauce pan with the broth mixture over low heat and stir continuously, whisking as the mixture simmers. Continue to simmer and stir/ whisk until the mixture is smooth and thick, 5-10 min. The mixture will thicken a bit as it cools.

3 Cups, makes the equivalent of about 2 cans of condensed Cream of Chicken Soup

The seasoning possibilities are endless (really open ended.) I change the spices I use every time I make this depending on what I am going to use the soup for.
*The texture can get lumpy really quickly so I suggest keeping the heat as low as possible and whisking continuously for a more smooth consistency

Vegetable broth for Cream of Mushroom soup and Cream of Celery soup. (Water left over from dehydrating mushrooms, etc.) "Mushroom" broth by simply cooking down mushrooms in either water or vegetable broth...

*Use homemade chicken broth/ stock Mix 8-12 oz heavy cream 4-6 tsp corn starch add carrots and celery to soup, little sea salt. Add GNOCCHI (Italian potato dumplings) Gia Russia cook last 3-5 min ...don't put in a slow cooker to cook.
