Cake:
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
1 cup butter
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 cup cold water
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 slightly beaten eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk

Icing:
1/2 cup butter
4 tablespoons cocoa
6 tablespoons buttermilk
3 1/2 - 4 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt and soda.
2. In a medium sauce pan, bring to a boil: butter, cocoa, water.
3. Pour the butter mixture over the dry ingredients and mix.
4. Add vanilla, eggs and buttermilk and beat.
5. Bake in a 17"X11"X1" cookie sheet (grease) at 375º for 18-20 minutes (watch closely!)
(you can also use a 9"X13" pan and bake for 40 minutes.

Icing:
Before cake is done, bring to a boil the butter, cocoa and buttermilk. Add powdered sugar and vanilla and beat well. Pour this over the hot cake.
