6 c dry bread crumbs cubed
3 c shredded cheese
1 lb sausage precooked and crumbled
or use ham or bacon
8 beaten eggs
3 1/2 c milk
1 tsp salt
2 T finely chopped green onion
1/2 tsp dry mustard
pinch of thyme

Directions:
Directions:
Place 1/2 the bread cubes into 9 X 13 greased baking dish. Top with shredded cheese and meat. Sprinkle with thyme. Put remainder of bread cubes on top.
Mix eggs, milk, salt, onion etc. Pour over casserole and press down with a spatula to moisten bread crumbs on top. Refrigerate overnight.
Bake at 325º for 50 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
