1 cup butter
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 unbeaten egg
1 t vanilla
2 cups sifted flour
1/2 t salt
8 oz Hersey chocolate
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in the egg & vanilla. Add the flour and salt gradually and beat until smooth. Spread on a 10X15 cookie sheet. Flour your hands to spread the dough. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes until golden brown.
Melt the chocolate just before the baking is done and spread on cookie base while it is still hot. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. Cut into squares while slightly warm.
Makes about 50 squares.
