1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1/3 c. butter
2 tsp. vinegar
2 large onions (chopped)
4 c. cranberries
1/2 c. rasins
1/4 c. apple cider
1/4 tsp. allspice (grated)
1/4 tsp. cloves (grated)
3 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 c. toasted pecans

1. In a large skillet, cook and stir together brown sugar, butter, and vinegar over med heat for 1-2 minutes.
2. Add onions, cook uncovered over low heat for 10-12 min. Once all options are glazed and tender, set aside and stir often.
3. In a 6-8 qt kettle or dutchoven, combine cranberries, rasins, apple cider, allspice, and cloves. Bring to boiling over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
4. Continue to cook, uncovered, over medium heat for 5 min. Stir in onion mixture and granulated sugar. Return to boiling. Cook uncovered for 10-15 min more. As mixture thickens, stir frequently, to prevent sticking. Remove from heat, stir in nuts.
5. Meanwhile, pour boiling water over clean 1/2 pint jars, let stand in the hot oven until ready to be filled.
6. Ladle conserve into hot jars, leaving 1/4 inch of head space.
