1 c. ( 2 sticks of butter)
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 T. vanilla
1 egg
2 egg yokes
2 egg whites (save from dough mixture to coat cookies)
1/4 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. baking powder
3 c. flour
1 lb. sesame seeds ( best seeds are from a bakery)

1. Take out butter and 3 eggs the night before making mixture
2. Cream butter until light, add sugar, vanilla, eggs (1 egg /2 egg yokes)
3. Add flour, cinnamon, baking powder to cream mixture and beat
4. Form in a log and place on wax paper and roll tightly closed
5. Chill overnight
5. Lightly crisco cookie pans
6. On board (lightly coated with crisco), roll out the dough mixture the size of a finger and cut into 1 1/2 inch lengths. If dough is sticky, just add a little crisco on board to make it easier to roll.
7. Dip cookies in beaten egg whites (left over from dough mixture)
and sesame seeds
8. Bake in a 350º for 20-25 minutes

These cookies are delicious with a cup of coffee or espresso. They are also delicious just dipping them in milk. Another recipe that 4 generations have been eating.
