French Toast Recipe

1 c. Half & Half
3 eggs
2 tbsp. honey
¼ tsp. kosher salt
6 slices stale white bread

1. Mix Half & Half, eggs, honey, and salt in a container, cover and place in refrigerator overnight.
2. Take 6 slices of white bread and let them sit out 8 hours or overnight so they become stale.
3. Preheat oven to 375. Heat a skillet to medium heat.
4. Place custard in a pie pan. Soak 2 slices of bread on each side for 30 seconds per side. Then place the bread on an oven safe cooling rack and let rest for 2 minutes.
5. Brown the soaked bread in a greased, preheated skillet until both sides are golden. Place back on oven safe rack.
6. Repeat with the remaining slices of bread.
7. When all the slices have been browned and placed back on the rack, place the rack in the 375-degree oven for 5 minutes.
8. After 5 minutes, remove the bread from the oven and serve with butter and syrup.
