2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
3 Tbsn confectioners sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2/3 cup cold milk
1 (8 oz) pkg shredded cheddar cheese
6Tbsn butter
1 tsp finely minced garlic
1 Tbsn fresh minced parley

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º.
Stir together the flour, salt, baking powder, and confectioners sugar in large bowl.
Cut in shortening with 2 knives or use food processor until the mixture resembles small peas.
Stir the milk in with a fork just until the dough cleans the sides of the bowl.
Stir in the cheese.
Place the butter with the garlic in a 9X13 inch pan and place in oven until butter melts.
Remove pan from oven and stir in parsley.
Form about 1/4 cup dough at a time into a ball.
Drop the ball of dough into the melted mixture and turn to coat well.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until just golden.

Makes 12 biscuits.
