1 bag Hersheys Kisses or Hugs
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. Peanut Butter
1/3 c. granulated sugar
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Heat oven to 375º. Remove wrappers from kisses or Hugs.

Beat shortening and peanut butter in large bowl until well blended. Add 1/3 c. granulated sugar and brown sugar; beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt, gradually beat into peanut butter mixture.

Shape dough into 1-in. balls. Roll in granulated sugar for Kisses and cocoa for Hugs. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately press a Kiss or Hug into center of each cookie; cookie will crack around edges. remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.

For the Cookies with Hugs I increase the milk amount to 4 tbsp. and add cocoa until the mixture becomes a brownish color.
