1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 medium egg
1/2 t. salt
2 t. baking powder
2 cups flour
1 t. vanilla

ICING
powdered sugar
water
food coloring
sprinkles

Directions:
Directions:
COOKIES
1. Cream butter and sugar.
2. Blend in egg.
3. Sift together dry ingredients and add to first mixture.
4. Blend in 1 t. vanilla
5. Roll to 1/4-inch thickness; cut with cutters.
6. Bake at 400º 7-10 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE!!! When they BEGIN to brown on the bottom, they're done.
7. Let cool a bit before removing from pan.
8. Decorate with icing and sprinkles.

ICING
Combine sugar, food coloring and water (add a few drops of water at a time until it reaches the desired consistency.
