1 1/2 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup whole or 2% milk
6 T salted butter
1 t. vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup pecans

Directions:
Directions:
BEFORE YOU START COOKING, lay out a sheet of parchment or buttered wax paper.

1. Combine all ingredients in a large, heavy sauce pan and cook until it boils. Then stir constantly until it reaches a soft ball (240º F).
2. Remove from heat and stir, stir, stir, until sauce begins to thicken (don't wait too long!).
3. Drop spoonfuls onto parchment, working QUICKLY since it hardens quickly.
4. Store in airtight container.
