4 cups sugar
1 cup white corn syrup
3/4 cup water

3 stiffly beaten egg whites

1 tsp vanilla
1 cup broken nuts

Directions:
Directions:
In saucepan over low heat, combine first three ingredients until the sugar is dissolved. Cook without stirring to 255 degrees. Remove from heat and pour in a slow thin stream while beating into beaten egg whites. continue beating until mixture holds its shape and loses its gloss. add vanilla and nuts. spread in buttered pan and cut into 1 inch squares
