Ingredients:  
4 cups hot water
1 pkg (4.9 oz.) boxed Au Gratin potatoes
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup frozen corn
2 cups half and half
1/2 cup chicken stock
2 tbsp. butter
1 small onion, (1/4 cup)4 slices cooked bacon, chopped
2 cans (6 1/2 ounce ea) minced clams, un-drained
Clam juice (add by taste for preference
Pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Heat water, potatoes (but not the mix) and salt to boiling in a 3 qt sauce pan. Boil 5 minutes; drain.

In butter, sauté onions, bacon bits, and corn. Add to potatoes.

Stir in the sauce mix and remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling over medium high heat, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender and soup thickens. Makes 4 servings..
