Select cut of deer, roast, shoulder, ham etc.

Soak according to Venison preparation directions

Preheat oven to 400º
Place soaked meat in a deep pan or roaster.
Place pan in oven at 400º for 30 minutes, reduce to 250º and cover. Let meat cook overnight.
Bake until the meat is well done and tender enough to pull from the bone.
Cover with barbeque sauce and bake additional 30 minutes.
Venison may also be soaked and cooked in the crock pot.

The soaking process helps to remove some of the gamey taste and tenderizes the meat.
Tell your hunters to shoot the deer when standing still when less adrenaline is secreted in the bloodstream.The adrenaline will cause the deer to taste more gamey.
