2 lb lean ground pork
1 lb ground beef
2 large onions finely chopped (2 c)
1 clove garlic finely chopped
2 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
2 tsp salt
1 tsp celery salt
1 1/2 tsp ground pepper
1/2 tsp ground sage
1 c water
3 medium potatoes cooked and washed
4 pie crusts

Combine pork, beef, onion and garlic in large skillet. Brown meat. Stir in seasonings and water. Cover, simmer 20 min. Uncover and simmer 10 min longer. Remove from heat and stir in mashed potatoes. Cool. Prepare pie crusts. Fit two loosely into two pie plates. Press pastry against sides of pans. Trim to 1/4" overhang. Spoon half of meat into each pie shell. Fold edges over meat and brush with egg. Place top pastries on pie and trim flush with edge of pan. Cut small slits in pastry near centre. Brush top with egg. Reroll trimmings and cut into fancy shapes for top of pie. Bake at 425ºF for 15 min. Lower heat to 350ºF and bake until crust is golden brown. Cool on wire rack. Serve lightly warm.
