3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
3 c. boiling water
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Mix together and bring to a boil in cake pan, then drop batter into hot syrup.
Batter:
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. sweet milk
1 tsp. melted butter
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 c. raisins

Directions:

Mix batter recipe together and drop by spoonfuls into boiling syrup. Bake at 400º for 20 or 30 minutes or until brown. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
