Shortbread:
1/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
2 egg yolks

Spread:
2 egg whites
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. crushed walnuts
1 tsp. butterscotch flavouring

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix shortbread ingredients and spread in 9” x 9” pan.
2. Beat egg whites until stiff.
3. Add brown sugar, walnuts and butterscotch flavouring.
4. Spread over top of unbaked shortbread.
5. Bake at 350º F for 45 minutes.
