*4 lbs. lean beef short ribs
*1 lg. tomato, chopped
*1 1/4 cups beef broth (or 1 cup broth and 1/4 cup red wine)
*1 small onion, sliced
*2 tbsp. prepared horseradish
*1 tsp. salt
*1/4 tsp pepper
*1/2 tsp ground ginger
3 tbsp. cornstarch
3 tbsp. water

Directions:
In a slow cooker, combine *'d ingredients. Cover and cook on Low 6-7 hours. Remove meat from cooker, cover, and keep warm. Turn control to high. Dissolve cornstarch in water. Stir cornstarch mixture into cooker. Cover and cook on high 15-20 minutes or until sauce is thickened. Spoon sauce over meat.
