1 lb. dry kidney beans
1 onion, diced
1 bell peppers, diced
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 ½ tsp. cumin
1 ½ tsp. basil
1 ½ tsp. onion powder
1 ½ tsp. paprika
1 ½ tsp. oregano
½ tsp. sage
1 tsp garlic powder
1 box water packed tofu, frozen and thawed
1-28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
2 Tbsp. Molasses or Honey
2 tsp. sea salt

Directions:
Sort beans and soak over night in water. Drain and place in a large pot. Cover with water and start cooking. Add all except last three ingredients and cook until beans are soft. Finally add remaining ingredients and cook about ten more minutes. Do not add sweetener until beans are soft or they will remain hard.
