1lb Strawberries; generously hulled
8oz Softened Cream Cheese
1/2C plus 1T Confectioners Sugar
1t Vanilla
1C Self Rising Flour
6oz Beer (I use dark but any works)
Oil to fry

Preheat Deep Fryer to 350º

1. Combine cream cheese, 1/2C Sugar, and vanilla with hand mixer until smooth. Pipe into hulled strawberries and Refrigerate for 1 hour or Freeze for 20 minutes.
2. In another bowl combine flour, 1T sugar, and 1/2 of the beer. Whisk until smooth.
3. Coat each strawberry well with batter and put into preheated deep fryer until light brown in color.

Dark or Heffeveisen beer works the best with flavor, but any beer will do. You may reduce the confectioners sugar if desired, it does tend to be on the sweeter side!!
