2 tsp sugar
1 1/2 cups scalded milk
1/2 cup shortening
1 tsp. salt
6 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix yeast, water, and 2 tsp. sugar in small bowl. Scald milk and cool. Add shortening, remaining sugar, eggs, salt, yeast mixture, and half the flour and mix. Work in remaining flour until dough is stiff enough to knead. Knead 10 minutes and then put in bowl to rest 1 hour or until double in bulk. Punch down and shape into buns. Let rise until double and then bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
