2 sticks butter, room temperature
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon lemon extract
1 teaspoon lemon zest

Glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
Lemon Juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter with shortening and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well. Add flour, salt, and baking powder. Add milk and other ingredients alternating with flour mixture. Grease and flour a bundt or tube pan.
Start with a cold oven and bake @ 325 º for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Glaze:
Mix powdered sugar and lemon zest. Add lemon juice to desired consistency. Drizzle over cooled cake.
