1⁄2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
3 bananas, ripe & mashed
2 tablespoons milk
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
1⁄2 cup walnuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Beat oil and sugar together. Add eggs and banana pulp and beat well.
Add sifted dry ingredients, milk & vanilla. Mix well and stir in nuts.
Pour into greased and floured loaf pan.
Bake for about 1 hour. Cool well and store overnight before cutting.

I remember when Grandma brought me some homemade banana nut bread to the VFW the night before we were taking a "fancy" trip together. It was really the first time I got to spend some one on one time with her. I learned so much and felt like I was getting to know the real her for the first time. The funniest thing... I hated banana nut bread... just not a fan of bananas, but hers was AWESOME!!!! Now I love banana nut bread and think of her every time I make it and eat it.
