Ingredients: 2 tsps cornstarch 1 T water; more as needed Olive oil 3 cloves garlic, minced 2 to 3 T scallion whites, minced (reserve the green portion for a garnish) 1 T grated fresh ginger (Not a big fan of alot of ginger so I use about 1 tsp of the ginger that comes in a tube found in the produce area) 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce 1/2 cup honey 1 T Sesame oil Lime juice 2 T red pepper flakes (These are spice for adjust accordingly for those who can't take the heat) 2 lb chicken wings

Directions: |
Directions:Place the chicken wings on a cookie sheet or baking rack and season with an all-purpose seasoning or salt and pepper. Bake at 350º until lightly golden brown.
Meanwhile, Add the oil to a saucepan and cook the garlic and scallion whites for about 1 minute. Add the soy sauce, honey, lime juice, sesame oil and red pepper flakes and simmer for about 2 minutes. Whisk the cornstarch and water together and add to the pan and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
Heat the outdoor grill to medium heat. Grill the wings for about 15 to 20 minutes until brown basting with the sauce frequently. Watch carefully as the sweet sauce tends to burn easily.
Serve and garnish with the reserved green onions. |

Notes: Have made these for several football games and have never had left overs. The sauce is the best. It probably would be really good on grilled shrimp or chicken.
