4 red delicious apples (cored and cut into chunks)
1 T lemon juice or orange juice
1 C celery diced
1 C seeded red grapes (halved)
1 banana, halved lengthwise, and then lg sliced (opt)
1 C minature marshmallows
1/2 C salad dressing
1/2 C cream whipped
or (1/2-1C) cool whip)
1/2 C walnuts* or pecans, chopped

Originally dried fruit (cherries) was added or plumped raisins... dried cranberries* may be added. All opt.

Sprinkle diced apple and banana with lemon juice. Combine celery, grapes, marshmallows, and add apples and bananas. Fold salad dressing into whipped cream gently. Add to fruit mix and CHILL. Just before serving, add nuts. Line bowl or plates with lettuce and garnish with apple slices and nuts.
