2 cups sifted flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 c shortening
2/3 to 3/4 cup milk

Sift dry ingredients into bowl. Cunt in the shortening until coarse like crumbs. Make a well; add milk all at once. Stir quickly with fork just until dough follows the fork around bowl. Turn onto a lightly floured surface, knead gently 10 - 12 strokes. Roll or pat dough to 1/2 inch thick. Dip cutter in flour cut dough straight down. Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 450º for 12 to 15 minutes
