1/2 cups butter or margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp each of cinnamon & nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
5 cups coarsely sliced apples

Directions:
Directions:
Work together with fingers or pastry blender the butter, sugar, flour, spices, & salt. Spread apples in greased 8" square pan. Sprinkle crumbly mixture over apples. Pat lightly with fingers. Bake uncovered at 350º for 50 - 60 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
